Up for sale is a classic vintage fly fishing outfit featuring three quality American-made pieces:
• Rod: True Temper “Traveller” 225T fiberglass fly rod, 6¼ ft, 4-piece design. Marked “Genuine Tungsten Carbide Tip Top” and “Made in U.S.A.” Ferrules seat well, cork grip shows age and wear, wraps and guides are intact but show typical vintage use.
• Reel: Pflueger Medalist 1492 DA fly reel, Made in U.S.A., with the classic white plastic latch cover. Smooth action, strong click/pawl, handle knob intact. A great match for this rod.
• Tube: Aluminum rod tube marked Garcia Conolon (B542 D 7½’). Not original to this rod but serves as a solid protective case.
This set makes for a great display piece, collectible combo, or light fishing setup. Both rod and reel are mid-century American classics and present well together.
Condition: Used, vintage condition with wear consistent with age (see photos). Rod shows cosmetic wear but is structurally sound. Reel has finish wear but works smoothly. Tube
